Arthur’s Woodland Inspired Nursery

Arthur’s bedroom is complete and not going to lie, it’s probably my favourite room in the house so far.

I’ve known since Arthur’s birth that I wanted to do a sage green bedroom. We started with that and the woodland theme developed naturally from there.

I’ve been collecting pieces over the months, keeping everything neutral so that it can easily transition into his ‘big room’ when we eventually get around to starting that.

And some pieces, such as the tree ornaments, I’ve had for a couple of years as they’re actually Christmas decorations!

There’s lots in this room which were gifts to Arthur when he was born such as the Chester White furniture set from The Cotswold Company, his name cardigan and his Jellycat teddies.

Looking at the room now, it’s hard to believe it used to be twice the size. It definitely feels cosier now that we’ve split the room into two. As a reminder, this was how it looked when we viewed the house and just after we’d moved in:

Since Arthur’s birth in January, my dad and David (and me as well when I can!) have spent hours getting this room right. So much work has gone into transforming this room that I’ll do a separate in depth post on everything we’ve done.
